Die KaufKauf Shoppingmanager™ Java-Applikation ist so aufgebaut, das sie auch per Panel-PC bedient werden kann. Das heisst ein kleiner PC der keine Tastatur
dafür aber einen Touchscreen hat, kann ganz problemlos als KaufKauf-Terminal verwendet (und z.B. fest in der Küche oder im Vorratsraum eingebaut
werden).
Auf dieser Seite hier wird das KaufKauf SlimLinux 1.3 Betriebssystem für einen solchen Panel-PC angeboten, das fertig für den KaufKauf Shoppingmanager™ konfiguriert
ist und mit keinen oder nur wenigen Modifikationen verwendet werden kann. Dieses System bietet die folgenden Features:

The KaufKauf Shoppingmanager™ Java application is designed in a way so that it can be used by a Panel-PC too. That means a small PC without any keyboard but
with a touchscreen can be used without any problems as KaufKauf terminal. Such a terminal for an example can be mounted directly within the kitchen.
Here we're offering the KaufKauf SlimLinux 1.3 operating system that can be used with such a Panel-PC, that is fully configured for the KaufKauf Shoppingmanager™ but can be used
for other applications too. That system offers the following features:

- latest kernel 2.4.36.2
- support for TouchKit™ touch controllers (a disabled X-configuration for normal mouse usage is included too)
- Gnome window manager
- CUPS printing system
- SMB client
- very slim size of less than 500 MBytes
- configured for running on flash-based systems (no clean shutdown necessary, can be switched off without shutdown)

Zur Installation von KaufKauf Slim Linux sind folgende Schritte notwendig:
- kkslimlinux-1.3.i386.tar.bz2.torrent herunterladen
- Auf einem Flash-Speichermedium (z.B. CF-Flash) eine bootbare ext3-Partition mit mindestens 500 MBytes erzeugen
- Die Dateien aus dem Archiv kkslimlinux.tar.bz2 dort hin entpacken
- Mittels chroot auf diese neue Flash-Partition wechseln und /proc mounten
- grub-install aufrufen um den Grub-Bootloader zu installieren ("grub-install --recheck /dev/flash_device")
- grub aufrufen und den Flash bootfähig machen ("root (hd0,0)" und "setup (hd0)")
- Den chroot-Jail mit "exit" verlassen, den Flash unmounten und in das Zielgerät einbauen
Jetzt sollte KaufKauf Slim Linux bootfähig sein und beim ersten Start vom gewählten Zielsystem die neue Hardware erkennen
und automatisch einbinden.
Oder alternativ:
- Das Flash-Image kkslimlinux-1.31.i386.img.bz2 herunterladen und entpacken
- Das entpackte Image per "cat kkslimlinux-1.31.i386.img >>/dev/[flash-device]" auf einen mindesten 1 GByte großen Flash schreiben
Anschließend erhalten Sie ein komplett partitioniertes und bootfähiges Flash.

To install and use KaufKauf Slim Linux following steps are necessary:
- Download kkslimlinux-1.3.i386.tar.bz2.torrent
- Create a bootable ext3 partition with a size of at least 500 MBytes on a flash device (e.g. CF flash card)
- Unpack kkslimlinux.tar.bz2 to that partition
- Make a chroot into that new partition and mount /proc
- Execute grub-install to install the Grub bootloader (grub-install --recheck /dev/flash_device)
- Execute grub to make flash bootable ("root (hd0,0)" und "setup (hd0)")
- Leave the chroot-jail, unmount the flash and put it into the target device
Now your KaufKauf Slim Linux should boot from the desired system and should auto-detect the hardware components of it.
Or alternatively:
- download and unpack the flash-image kkslimlinux-1.31.i386.img.bz2
- Write the unpacked image to a flash using "cat kkslimlinux-1.31.i386.img >>/dev/[flash-device]", here a flash device with a size of at least 1 GByte is required
Afterwards you should have a completely partitioned and bootable flash.
